About Ilhaam
Ilhaam is “General Skills” & “Teacher Training I & II” certified by Carolena Nericcio at Fat Chance Belly Dance® Studio in San Francisco (USA). She is the first FCBD® Sister Studio in Spain, based in Madrid.

She currently gives individual lessons, workshops and continuous trainning in Madrid & different cities in Spain ( Barcelona, Zaragoza, Valencia, Sevilla, Pamplona, Granada) and other countries, Pune, India (May 2015 ), Rennes, Paris (France, BellyFusions 2014, 2013), Rome (Italy, Roma Tribal Meeting 2014, 2013) or Oakland (Ca, USA, 2011).
She is part of Dolunaï Music and Dance Company and began a partnership with Isabel De Lorenzo in 2011 during Roma Tribal Meeting and their collaboration has matured teaching and performing together at Bellyfusions Festival 2013 & 2015 in Paris and NY Theatrical bellydance Conference among other events. She takes part of "ATS® Sisters Collective", a really new brand project with european ATS® Sister Studios (Roma Tribal Meeting 2016, 2015, 2014, Hannover Tribal Festival 2014) and is also director of Ilhaam Tribe in Spain. She collaborates with different musicians (Million Dollar Mercedes Band, Nantha Kumar, Kasper Soeborg...) in concerts and dance-theatre events.
Ilhaam is also a cuban salsa performer and studies latin percussion (conga) with Alfredo Perdomo (Venezuela) and Elich García, flamingo box and arab rhythms (darbouka) with Héctor "El Turko" (Spain).
ATS®
American Tribal Style Belly Dance®'s movements are inspired by folkloric dances of the Middle East, North Africa, Spain and India. ATS® is a method of improvisational choreography, using a vocabulary of movements and cues allowing the dancers to communicate while dancing.
The knowledge of the dance vocabulary allows American Tribal Style dancers from different regions to collaborate even if they have not previously danced with each other. Though it is a modern dance, the feeling is ancient and connected, with its vibrant costuming, music, use of zills (finger cymbals), movements and interaction between the tribe of dancers.
ATS® Sister Studios
Sister Studios are graduates of General Skills for ATS® and ATS® Teacher Training. These teachers are dedicated presenting ATS® as createdand developed by Fat Chance Belly Dance® director and master teacher Carolena Nericcio. Sister Studios do not blend ATS® with other styles of dance, tribal or otherwise. They present ATS® only, or clearly separate ATS from the other styles of dance they are presenting.
The idea is that the sudent should be able to attend an FCBD® ATS® class anywhere in the world and receive consistent, quality instruction.
